One additional show

We are planning on adding one additional show, on November 27 at 3:00 pm. This will give us an even 12 shows, which can be more easily divided between the two casts of Von Trapp children.

Shows WILL FILL UP!! Please take our word for it. These shows will sell out. We will be passing out forms for offering friends and family discounted tickets if they purchase from you. For every 10 ticket sales credited to you, you receive a free ticket. Your friends can also order directly from the website. They can go to www.houstonfac.com and click on "buy tickets". They should select adult seats and then apply the coupon code Castsale as well as writing your name in the comment box. The code will take $4 off each ticket.

Rehearsals

There will be no rehearsal on Thursday, 9/22.

SATURDAY, 9/24. The first rehearsal on Saturday morning, 9/24, at 9:00 will be for everyone. This is a time to meet most of your fellow cast members, and find out who we are and how we operate, and to a large degree what has made us successful. We'd like parents of actors younger than 18 to be present. We will do a complete read-through in the Garza Mainstage Theatre, and will be done by noon. The cast/parent meeting will only last for about the first 30 min.

I show that the following people will not be able to be present on Saturday: Matt (Max), Yvonne (Margaretta) Lauren H (Liesl), Justin (Friedrich), True (novice) and that Sydney will be late.

We have found it necessary to require a $25 script deposit. We hold the check (uncashed) and return it to you at the end of the performance period when you return the script. The publishers charge us $25 for every script not returned, and we occasionally have cast members who lose them or decide that they're souveniers. We will also begin collecting the $50 costume rental fee. This fee remains stable even if your costume costs us more than this amount. Please let us know if you can sew or assist in collecting/organizing costumes and props. Please also let us know if you are driving further than 30 miles to get to rehearsal.

MONDAY, 9/26

7:00 - 8:30 Do-re-mi choreography - Maria and Von Trapp Children
8:30 - 9:30 16 Going on 17 choreography - Liesl and Rolf
As you drop off your children, our producer, Carla Conover, will be present to talk to parents briefly and answer questions about volunteer opportunities that can earn free tickets.
