Shoes

Costumes will be provided for you. You are, however, responsible for your shoes, unless there is something very special that we provide, like possibly something elaborate for Baronness von Schraeder.

We would like the von trapp children to have some black dress shoes to wear with their uniforms. Girls will be in flat "mary-janes", although Liesl's could be character shoes.

For their play clothes, we'd like to be able to switch to a more casual brown shoe, hiking boot, or sandal. The festival could use the same brown shoes, but not sandals.

Nuns/postulants/novices will need a plain black lace-up shoe. We will be looking at Payless, Walmart, Kohls and other places to see if we can find an easy and cheap source.

Women at the dance will need a dress shoe, but it need not be a character shoe. It just needs to go with the dress you are wearing to the party.

Men will need black lace-up shoes. We will provide boot-toppers for those needing boots.
